Description | The course is designed to further develop students' understanding
of critical media studies, and to provide the structure and space
to conceive of and successfully carry out a related (non-fiction)
project. The course is tagged as part of the Art & Politics
Learning Collaborative (LC) and thus our collective work, and
students' individual projects, will engage in some way with the
LC's urgent challenge: "How can art and politics intersect to
challenge dominant narratives and create new visions for
community?" Division II students can use the course to satisfy
the Division II Supported Projects requirement, and Division III
students can use it as an Advanced Educational Activity (AEA).
[Students, including second-year Division I students, should have
completed one or more college-level media studies courses in a
prior semester. Please email the professor with questions.] |
