| Description | This course introduced students to population, community and landscape ecology, with an emphasis on plants. Students engaged with primary scientific literature and completed a series of labs and assignments throughout the course. In addition to gaining knowledge in introductory ecology, students began to explore basic ecological study design and analysis in R programming language by conducting and analyzing a greenhouse experiment in a small group. Students also explored local field sites and conducted an in-depth observation of a campus ecological community through a natural history field notebook. |
