Description | This class is an introduction to descriptive and inferential statistics that are useful for analyzing data from a variety of fields. Topics covered included summary statistics, graphical methods, and resampling and parametric inference methods for calculating confidence intervals and conducting hypothesis tests. Students also learned how to use the R programming language to analyze data. Assignments consisted of weekly problem sets (11 in total) and a final project in which students had to analyze a dataset of their choosing in more depth. |
