Description

Taught in conjunction with IA-0316 (Advanced Studies in Theatre Design), this course was intended for students who have completed at least one course in theatre design. Students chose two projects, each addressing design issues in a specific area: scenery, costumes, lighting, sound, projections, or technical production. Working with the instructor, projects were devised based on experience, skill building, and the desired level of challenge. The course included explorations of historic and contemporary styles. Students strove to improve their presentational skills, drafting, rendering, communication, and collaboration techniques. Students were expected to meet with the instructor outside of class.
