Description

In order to create artwork in multiples using the graphic language of printmaking, students: learn techniques such as woodcut, monotype, drypoint, and more experimental methods; learn to pull prints on the small etching press as well as transfer techniques that do not require special equipment; develop an understanding of the history of these processes as a way to disseminate ideas and images. In addition to studio projects, students had an exchange of prints, viewed works in the collection of a museum, and engaged with a visiting artist/critic. The course culminated in a self-directed project.
