Description

This course was an introduction to statistics that covered descriptive statistics, and both parametric statistical inference methods (e.g., t-tests) as well as the newer computationally-based resampling methods (e.g., permutation tests and confidence intervals based on the bootstrap). The course also discussed how to plot statistical results and run statistical analyses using the R programming language. Students were evaluated based on their performance on weekly worksheet problem set assignments (10 in total) and on three learning checks that assessed the knowledge they had accumulated.
