Description | This course was an introduction to Statistics that covered descriptive statistics, and both parametric statistical inference methods (z-tests and t-tests) as well as the newer computationally based resampling methods (permutation tests and confidence intervals based on the bootstrap). The course also discussed how to plot statistical results and run statistical analyses using the R programming language. Students were evaluated based on their performance on weekly worksheet assignments (10 in total), and on three learning checks that assessed the knowledge they had accumulated. |
